The workshop is devoted to the study of harmonic mappings in the plane and its applications to minimal surface theory.

REGISTRATION:

There will be a $125 registration fee payable at the conference registration desk on the opening day of the conference. The fee for an accompanying person is $50. Early registration is advisable.

Partial support will be available to a limited number of graduate students and young PhDs.

Workshop activities:

On Monday, January 9th, a reception for the workshop participants will be held at the faculty lounge (8th floor, Amado Mathematics Building) following the talks.

On Tuesday, January 10th, We will have an outing to Acre (weather permitting), where we will have a guided tour of the old city. After the tour we will have a banquet dinner courtesy of the workshop at a local restaurant. We will depart Haifa in the afternoon.

Accommodation:

All bookings will be made through the CMS.

We have succeeded in obtaining rooms at a special rate in the following locations:

"Dan Panorama" hotel (5 star hotel) at the rate of $70 for a single room and $90 for a double room. (breakfast included).
"Shulamit" hotel (3 star hotel) at the rate of $45 for a single room and $70 for a double room (breakfast included).
"Forscheimer Guest House" at the Technion at the rate of $40 for a single room and $60 for a double room. (breakfast not included).

Transportation will be provided during the duration of the workshop to and from the Dan Panorama" and "Shulamit" hotels.

Airport arrival:

A shuttle by "Amal Taxi Co." provides transport from Ben Gurion Airport directly to Haifa. The cost is 56 NIS and the service is available at all times. There is a special taxi service to Haifa available at the airport for about $80 (prices at night are higher). There is also a new train line from the airport to Haifa. For schedules please go to: www.israrail.org.il to "Schedules", your Departure station is: "Ben Gurion airport" and your destination station is "Hof Ha-Carmel". You will need to take a taxi from the train station to your hotel for the cost of about 40 NIS. (taxi accommodates up to 4 people).

Departure:

Transportation from Haifa to the airport on your departure can be arranged. You'll be provided with information upon your arrival at the conference.
